This year we started a new tradition in our home, where the Saturday before Easter Sunday we have the Easter Bunny come. This way on Easter Sunday we can completely focus on Christ and his resurrection. It worked out great this year and I really liked it. So on Saturday, the Easter Bunny found our house, and this is what he brought
Kaden’s Easter basket
Porter’s Easter basket
Paul’s and my Easter baskets
It was fun watching how excited the boys were over their Easter baskets. Porter came running in our room that morning and said, “Mom, Dad..hurry and wake Kaden up. The Easter bunny came.” It was so cute!
After we ate too much candy from our Easter baskets, we headed to the Annual Draper Easter Egg Hunt with my brother Erik, Sister in law Dara, and little niece Elsa. We weren’t expecting it to be so crowded, that it took us forever to find a place to park and then to walk to the park. Right when we got there, the Easter Egg hunt started. Porter found a couple of eggs and had a lot of fun. Poor Erik and Dara still hadn’t made it by the time it started, but we all had a lot of fun hanging out for a while. It is so much fun watching Porter and Elsa run around together. Such cute little cousins!!
And here we are dyeing Easter Eggs this year. We found this Easter egg coloring kit thing that Kaden used this year..and it was hilarious. He loved it and was completely covered when he was done. Porter was so adorable dyeing his Easter Eggs. He liked splashing them into the dye. Needless to say, everyone was covered with easter egg dye when we were done, but we had a blast.
The eggs that Kaden colored ended up getting completely smashed on the floor..haha. But, here are a couple of the ones that Porter dyed and decorated! So cute!!
What a wonderful Saturday we had. We will be posting pictures soon of Easter Sunday!
