Carving Pumpkin

We had a blast carving pumpkins this last October.  Having kids during the holidays is just so much fun!!  They make everything a blast!!  We found some little pumpkin craving supplies and it was so much fun watching the kids put their pumpkins together. So cute.  Their favorite part was definitely using the drills to make holes in their pumpkins.  They thought that was the neatest thing ever.  Love these boys so much!

October 21- Mueller Park Pictures to remember ‘Mish’

My Grandmother Solveig (Mish to us) Irene Schjerven (Olsen) died on October 21st 4 years ago.  When I first found out that she had died, we were living in Bountiful and Porter and I were talking a walk in the mountains (Mueller Park).  It is such a beautiful place especially during the fall with the beautiful Fall colors.  Every year on October 21st.. I have taken my boys up there to take pictures in sweaters that she made for my brothers when they were little.  It is so much fun having pictures of the boys in these beautiful sweaters.  It has been a special tradition for me to head up to such a beautiful place and remember my wonderful Grandma.  I have also enjoyed this time to talk about her with my boys since Porter was the only one that was able to meet her.  This year, we were lucky to have my sister Donna and her daughter Anja join us.  Anja also wore a little pink sweater that my Grandma made Donna when she was little.  So special.  We had quite the adventure in the mountains with these cute little kids.. and were able to get some beautiful pictures.  So incredibly grateful for Mish and all of the beautiful memories I have of her.

These beautiful children are growing up so incredibly fast!  I know I am biased, but aren’t they just so cute??  I love these kids with all of my heart!

Sweet little Owen was SO incredibly busy on this trip to the mountains.  He would not hold still at all and so it was so hard getting pictures of him..haha.  So all of the pictures of him are on the move..haha.  Still so cute!

And gorgeous little Anja!  Such a little sweetheart.

Halloween Cookie Decorating

We are so blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood surrounded by wonderful friends.  Every year, my boys love inviting friends over to decorate Halloween cookies.  They had been talking about it all month, and we finally made it happen.  The boys had a lot of fun.  After cookies decorating, the boys ran outside to play in the leaves.  They love raking a big pile of leaves in front of the slide and then sliding down into the leaves.  So much fun.  Even little Owen was daring enough to slide down.  Such a blast.  I love this time of year.  We finished our little party with pizza and then a soccer match in the backyard!
