Wheeler Farm

Porter and I went to Wheeler Farm last Friday to let Paul study in peace and quiet! We had so much fun!! It was so peaceful and relaxing there and Porter LOVED the animals. He chased the geese and the pigeons and would growl every time the cow's would mooo..it was halarious!! He played on the haystack and tractors and had a lot of fun. Now that we know about this place we definitely will go back often. Our friend Tracey made the cute little hat that Porter is wearing in the pictures. It is so adorable and he kept it on the whole time we were at the farm (he never keeps his hats on for longer than a couple of seconds). Thanks Tracey for the super cute hat. Beautiful Rain

I LOVE RAIN..It's as simple as that. Just thinking of rain makes me happy!! Whenever it rains here, which is not often enough, I can't stand being indoors. The minute it starts raining, I get the sudden urge to just run outside and enjoy the beautiful rain. I would honestly be happy if it rained everyday. I get a certain energy from the rain that I can't explain. I just love it! So the last couple of days it has rained here a lot. So of course, Porter and I bundled up in our warm clothes and headed outside for some rainy fun. Porter seems to love it as much as I do. It is so much fun watching him splash and play in the puddles. By the time we were were done, his pants were just soaked..but he didn't seem to care at all. Porter's Winter ONEderland Birthday Party

We had Porter's first birthday party last Saturday at my Mom's house and we had so much fun. We had a Winter 'ONE'derland theme full of all sorts of fun wintery decorations and treats. Here is his cute invitation that Paul did such a great job making!!I made snowball cookies, Jello Mousse (melted snow), dipped chocolate pretzels with blue and white sprinkles (snowflake pretzels), cupcakes with white frosting and blue sprinkles, and blue punch. The stupid thing was that I totally forgot about the icecream so we didn't end up having icecream...whoops..oh well. We got Porter a super cute BIG blue and white cupcake decorated with snowflake sprinkles. It was super cute. It was so much fun to watch his facial expressions when we started singing Happy Birthday to him. He LOVED the lit candle but of course needed help blowing it out. He was halarious eating his cupcake and got blue frosting all over his face and clothes. Josiah drew a 'P' on his face with the frosting which was pretty halarious, but it was so sad because after I scrubbed the frosting off of his face, his face was kind of irritated and you could still see the 'P' on his face..poor baby. At least the irritation didn't seem to bother him so that's good. We also had a little Winter Jar filled with jelly beans and everyone wrote down on a piece of paper how many jelly beans there were in the jar. My Mom won and got a cute little snowman and the jar of jelly beans..GOOD JOB MOM! :)
Porter was so cute dressed in his little white and blue sweater and tan pants but of course wouldn't keep his socks on. We are so thankful to everyone that came to support Porter. It was so much fun seeing everyone there. My friend Shirley (that I used to work with at Provo Canyon School) brought her cute little boy Ryan. It has been a couple of months since I had seem them last and it was so much fun catching up with her. Her little guy is so adorable and he is just a month younger than Porter. It was so cute watching Porter and Ryan playing together..they were halarious. My sister in law's brother Josiah and his wife Eva brought their adorable little girl Kaaja and I couldn't believe how much she has grown. She was already saying a bunch of words and could even do sign language..what a cutie. And it was so much fun catching up with Eva and Josiah again..we hadn't seen them in FOREVER. My parents in law, my brother Erik and sister in law Dara (whom are expecting a baby girl in just 2 months), sister Natasha and brother in law Colby, my Mom and brothers Shane and Teddy were also there to support Porter. I love my family and friends so much and are so thankful for them and for the support that they show us. Porter was absolutely spoiled with all of the awesome birthday gifts that he received. Thanks so much everyone for coming to Porter's party.. we love you all so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PORTER!!!!!
