Setting up the Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas decorations this year the earliest I think I have ever had them put them up in my life.. November 30th so that we could welcome December with a festive house..haha.  Then we finally put the Christmas tree up on December 6th.  It was so much fun to see how excited the boys got when I got the tree and the decorations up.  Porter was so cute.  Paul was at work when we brought the tree up, so Porter helped me carry the box up from the garage.  He was so excited to see how strong he was carrying the box up the stairs.  He kept flexing his muscles the rest of the night..haha!  Porter and Kaden found the santa hats and didn’t take them off the whole night we were decorating.  Such cuties!!

The first night we didn’t get all of the decorating done, but it was time for bed so we ended our decorating with hot chocolate and a yummy chocolate roll.

The next day we were at it again and finished decorating our tree.

Yay.. Christmas season has officiall started!!

Sledding

We have had some pretty awesome snowstorms lately which help make for some super fun sledding days.  We are lucky to have a park right down the street from our house with a huge sledding hill where the kids love to sled.  We have spent a lot of days this Winter at this park sledding.  Little Porter has absolutely no fear.  He will go all the way to the top of the hill and come cruising down.  He loves it!  The first time we went sledding this winter, Kaden wasn’t too sure what to think.  But the more we have gone, the more comfortable he has gotten with it, and now he loves it!  It is so much fun watching the boys (and their Daddy) sled and have so much fun together.  I can’t wait to go sledding next year (when I am not pregnant) with my boys!!

Paul was such a trooper and took the boys up the hill hundreds of times.  He definitely got his exercise in for the day.  What an awesome Dad!
