Bear Lake

I have been going to Bear Lake every Summer with my family for as long as I can remember.  I even remember going with my Great Grandma Haslam.  She would make the most wonderful pancakes for breakfast.  I remember sitting on the beach late at night with my Grandpa while he told us stories about the Bear Lake Monster.  It is such a beautiful place full of amazing memories.  This year we were so excited to take the boys and meet some of my cousins there.  Here is Owen in the car ready to go to Bear Lake! Smile

One of the best parts of camping is most definitely the campfire.  It was fun watching the boys roast their hotdogs and marshmallows.  My cousin Tracy was there with her family and she has 3 boys almost exactly the same ages as my boys.  They had so much fun hanging out together.

It is always so much fun to see how excited the boys get about sleeping in a tent!  Here they are all snuggled up tight in their sleeping bags and warm blankets.

Don’t let the picture of Owen fool you into thinking that he sleep peacefully all night.  Poor little guy didn’t sleep hardly at all.  I actually ended up taking him for a night drive in the car around 2 in the morning and he finally fell asleep around 4 in the car.  So I ‘slept’ the rest of the night in the car.  Poor little guy.

The next morning, we took the boys and Tracy’s son Corbyn for a little morning walk around the lake. The boys stayed in their pajamas and we had a lot of fun exploring.

Of course the boys couldn’t wait to run down to the water.  So we hurried and ate some breakfast and they were off to the water.

Poor little Owen was kind of fussy during our trip.  Something was bugging him and he just was not feeling well.  Here he is taking a little nap in his stroller down by the beach.  My cousin Christine’s husband, Mike, was so good with Owen.  Everytime that he would talk to Owen or hold him, he would immediately start smiling and stop fussing.  Mike was so awesome in helping Owen feel better.

We bought the boys a little raft to take out on the lake, and I think they spent the majority of the time we were there paddling along the lake on it.  They were so cute!

So tired after a long day on the lake.  Thank goodness for naps and picnic benches! Smile  Kaden was so cute how he just laid down and fell asleep on the table.

These 2 boys were so stinkin adorable together.  They were so excited to put their goggles on and they kept telling us about all of the sharks and whales and sea life that they were going to catch while snorkeling under the water.
