Valentines Day

Porter was so excited for Valentines Day this year.  He really wanted to get into it and decorate the whole house in hearts.  Everyday he kept talking about all of the amazing crafts and decorations that we were going to make.  So a couple of days before Valentines Day, we decorated hearts.. yes, this is about as creative as I got this year..haha, but the boys had a lot of fun!

Porter was so excited that he got to pick out valentines for his preschool class this year.  Here is putting together his class valentines!

We had a wonderful Valentines Day.  Here’s what our Valentines Day looked like. 

The boys woke up to cute little Valentines Day stuffed animals.  They were pretty excited and little sensitive Porter said it was his favorite stuffed animal because it had a heart on it for love..aww!  I love him!  Here are my 3 beautiful boys!!!  Love these little handsome boys so much!!

And here is our beautiful little Owen celebrating his first Valentines Day with his little Valentines bear, rocking his cute little Valentines Day outfit from his Grandma Anka.  What a cutie!! 

My cute Mom brought a bag full of Valentines for Porter and Kaden.  They were so excited.  They were so spoiled.  Thanks so much for everything Mom!!  Love you so much.

Then we made sure to eat some heart shaped waffles and fried toast with an egg heart in the middle.  The boys thought it was fun to have hearts for breakfast.

Paul and I stayed home this year and had a yummy Valentines Day dinner with our boys.  I found a cute little Russian store in Salt Lake and bought lots of yummy food to make a nice Russian dinner.  We had a wonderful evening.  I am so incredibly grateful for my Valentine, Paul. He is the best Valentine I could ever ask for.  I love him with all of my heart!

Owen- First 2 Weeks

Our sweet little Owen is doing wonderfully!!  I can’t believe that he has been around for 2 1/2 weeks already!!  He is such a sweetheart.  He loves to sleep and is only awake for a couple of minutes total during the day and the night while he eats, and then goes right back to sleep.  He is a very content and sweet little baby!  So incredibly thankful that he is in our family.

He had his 2 week appointment last week and he weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 19 inches long.  At the hospital after he was born, we were told that he was 20 1/2 inches long..but they measured wrong.  We have a tiny, beautiful little boy.  We were also told that his jaundice is doing a lot better..that is great.  Yay Owen.

Owen had his first bath on February 12th.  At first he didn’t like it at all.  When I put the warm froggy washcloth on his tummy he immediately stopped crying.  He loved the feeling and warmth from it.  He totally relaxed the rest of the time.  What a cute bathing baby!

Owen is so lucky to have 2 big wonderful brothers that love him so much.  They honestly have been absolutely incredible with him.  Porter loves helping Owen with everything. He reads him stories, helps get him clean diapers, helps to feed him, builds him pillow castles to sleep on, sings him lullabies when he starts crying..etc. etc.  He is so great.

We thought for sure that there would be an adjustment period for Kaden when Owen came into the picture since Kaden is still so little…but Kaden has done remarkable.  He loves holding him, he loves helping to choose the clothes he is going to wear.  He brings him warm blankets to help cover him when he is sleeping.  He comes up to Owen and constantly kisses him on his head.  He is such a sweet older brother.  The only thing that he is worried about with Owen is he wants to make sure that Owen doesn’t drink out of his bottle..haha.  Such a cutie.

When Owen was only 4 days old, we took him on his first walk to the park with his brothers.  He slept the whole time of course..haha.  Here he is all bundled up for the trip.

When Owen was only 5 days, he took his first trip to Wheeler Farm.  The is one of his brothers most favorite places, so they were so excited to show Owen.  Here he  is all snuggled up in his stroller

This is Owen with his first cake ever that my friend Stephanie got for him.  So cute!

Look at this little cutie!!  Such a sweetheart!!  We are still trying to figure out who he looks like.  Half of the time he looks like Porter and the other half of the time he looks like Kaden.  Such a beautiful baby!!  I have had a lot of people comment that they feel a lot of joy around Owen.  And that he looks like he is just ready to beam a big smile at any time.  You can definitely feel a lot of peace and happiness from this little boy!!  I am so excited to watch as he grows and his personality starts to develop.

So grateful to be the Mommy to beautiful Owen and to my other beautiful boys!  I am the luckiest lady in the world.  And thanks so much friends and family for all of the dinners that you have brought us and for all of the beautiful flowers.  We have been so spoiled.  We love you all so much.
