Porter Update

I haven't done a Porter update in a VERY long time, so here is a long one to catch up a little bit.
Porter amazes me more and more everyday. This little boy is absolutely brilliant! He has really started talking up a storm and his little voice is the cutest!
Some of the funny words that he says are 'moodee (movie), first started saying B.. and then moved to blank and then blankie (blanket), Muah (kisses), he says 'no way' and yes sir, he says Portie for his name..haha...and many many more adorable little words.
He can point out most of his letters, and colors and knows a couple of his numbers. Right now he knows 1,2,3,9,10. He can get himself undressed and put his shoes on. His favorite foods at the moment are grilled cheese and ham sandwiches, waffles, carrots, corn, any kind of pasta, and Norwegian Grot.
His favorite TV shows are 'Super Why', 'Dinosaur Train', and 'Jane and the Dragon'. He still loves to cuddle with his blanket and bottle. At night times, he has started only wanting to rock for a couple of minutes before he says, 'bed'. This makes me sad because I really enjoy rocking and cuddling with him. I guess he is just growing up. He has more energy than any other kid I know.
This little boy never stops. Here are some of the fun things that we do to release some energy!
We love dancing in the rain. Whenever it rains, we grab our raincoats and boots and spend hours outside in the rain. He loves it just as much as I do.

We spend lots of time at the park.

We love going to the library. Here is Porter at the Main library in Salt Lake City. We love that library a lot.
We love painting and coloring. Here is the first time Porter tried out painting. And he LOVED it.
The other day he was giving lots of kisses to his Daddy. It was so sweet and cute!! I love that he is so affectionate and it is so wonderful to see how much he loves his Daddy.
Isn't he just beautiful? He is my little love!! I love this little guy so much!

Porter's 1st Time Bowling

Porter's little friends Alexis and Cameron invited Porter to go bowling for the first time last week. We all had a lot of fun. Here's our group. Here's Porter and Alexis. Ok, seriously..the little kids were sooo cute!! They would push the bowling ball off the ramp and and right when they hit the pins, they would start clapping and were sooo happy! It was so much fun to see!
Here's our cute bowler. Porter did a good job except for towards the end I think he started getting tired and kept trying to run off until it turned into a huge game! He even ran right in front of some old man getting ready to bowl..whoops!! You can tell Porter was getting a little tired when we were trying to take pictures. Little Cameron and Alexis are smiling perfectly for all of the pictures and then you can see silly little Porter on the side goofing off..haha!!
Thanks guys for such a fun afternoon! We need to do it again sometime! :-)

Sledding with Porter and Ander

Porter has a cute little friend that lives next door named Ander. Ander is just 2 months older than Porter and they have so much fun together. Last week, Anders Mom Emily (Yes, she has my same awesome name) and I took our little boys sledding in front of our apartment complex. They had a blast and were so cute together!
Here we are taking turns pulling the sleds. Emily was awesome because she is 6 months pregnant and still pulling sleds..haha!
The boys had so much fun that a couple of days later we decided to take them sledding at Sugar House Park. We bought Porter a new sled and he loved it. It was both Porter's and Ander's 1st time sledding down a real hill. Here is Porter and Ander making their way up the hill. Here they are at the top. Hahaha..aren't they so cute!! I can't even explain to you how much fun they had!! Porter could have sled all day if we would have let him.
He was so funny because he would start rocking the sled for it to go down the hill right when we sat him on it..and then once he got to the bottom of the hill, and the sled would stop, he would rock again to try and get it to keep going! He was so cute!! Here he his with his new sled.
Here's Ander and his Mommy

Here's Porter and I making our way up the hill. Thanks so much Emily and Ander..we had so much fun! Hopefully there will be many more sledding adventures this winter! :-)
