It was an INCREDIBLY hot day..WOW..but we both had a lot of fun. It was so fascinating to me to see all of the different kinds of art that were displayed. I really wish that I had a lot of money and could buy a couple of the amazing pieces that they had there. I could have walked around all day looking at the art. 
There were more than 140 artist booths there. Absolutely incredible. I was also happy to see how many fun activities they had for kids. Porter had tons of fun playing in their little kids section. He played with the toys for well over an hour.
He made his very own popsicle cat mask. He loved coloring with the markers. And walked around the rest of the day carrying his mask.
He had tons of fun running through the colorful art caves.
Listened to the awesome band. Porter loved the music and walked right up to the front by the stage and just stood there and listened for a long time. He was so cute. 
and even made a new friend.
We spent most of the afternoon there and the second we got in the car to go home, Porter fell right asleep and slept for another 1 1/2 hours after we got home. I think that means he had fun. I can't believe that I had never been to the arts festival. It was awesome and I am excited to make this a tradition and go every year. Next time we will have to make sure that we go a day when Paul can come with us. I am sure that he would have loved it as well. 
Porter was so adorable with his little fishing net. I need to take him fishing more often. He had a blast! It was so cute to watch him run in the water with his net like everyone else. What a sweetie!
We sure missed him and Porter but we had tons of fun. And the best part of the rodeo was definitely the strawberries and cream...
Mmmm..soooooooo delicious. I loved the bull riding and a lady named Amanda Payne did an awesome show where she was able to get 2 huge buffalo on top of the trailer and then she rode her horse up there right next to them..amazing!! She is the only woman in the world that has been able to do this..so awesome! When I upload the video to you tube I will add it. It was amazing!
What a fun couple of days at Strawberry Days. I am already getting excited for next year! :)
We are so excited for him to finally be on a normal working schedule after working at 3AM the last 3 years. Northrop Grumman is a company that does government and military contracting. He'll be doing software analysis for all kinds of projects, like the nuclear weapons system, the new jet fighter planes, and other cool stuff like that. :) He's going to be awesome and I am so proud of him. They are very flexible with Paul's schedule and he can come and go whenever he pleases as long as he gets 8 hours a day in, so that is super nice. CONGRATULATIONS PAUL! Love you!!
I had a been a little nervous about the weather since thunderstorms and extremely cold weather were predicted, but it turned out just fine. The race was supposed to start at 5:30 AM but ended up starting about 20 minutes late, and it was a little cold at the starting line, about 30 degrees. The first 11 miles, it rained and rained non stop. I LOVED IT. Luckily, I was well equiped with arm warmers, running pants and a hat to keep the rain off of my face. 
I really felt awesome the whole entire race. It was my first marathon where I didn't hit a wall. The race was an absolutely beautiful run down Provo Canyon and ended up back at the mall. I think the rain and colder weather gave me a lot of energy. Thank goodness it wasn't the average 80-90 degree weather that it usually is this time of the year. I finished in 4:30.. a horrible time, but that's ok. At least I finished, right? I think my next marathon I will not stop at any of the aid stops and hopefully that will help my time a little bit. It was so much fun seeing Paul and Porter at the finish line. 
Afterwards, we went home and I slept the rest of the day!!
For those of you that don't know about it, 7 Canyons is a maze of water which starts at a small pool and ends at a water fountain. The pool is one foot deep and the "canyons" running out of it are only about three inches deep. 
The water is treated, so children can to play in it. If anyone needs a fun and free place to take their kids this summer, I HIGHLY recommend the 7 canyons. 
It is awesome and wasn't very crowded. Porter LOVED it (but then again, he just loves water)! He just splashed and played for the longest time. And he wasn't scared of the water one bit. I love summer!! :)
