Water Fun

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!!! We are so excited that the weather outside is finally warm enough to have some summer fun!! We set up Porter's little pool in the backyard, and he LOVED IT!! He loves bathtime, so we knew the pool would be a big hit. First we had to make sure that we had sun screen on because it was super hot outside. Porter was so funny trying to put it on. He even made the sound effects of the lotion coming out..haha. Since we live in an apartment, on the second floor, we don't have a hose to fill up the pool. Paul had a brilliant idea to use the shower head to squirt out the window to fill up the pool. It was halarious! I was laughing so hard, and Porter thought it was pretty fun. He just watched Dad squirt the water out the window and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Here he is getting ready to charge right into the pool..haha!Once the pool was full, he played and splashed around for a good hour. I have a feeling we will be in the backyard playing in the pool a whole lot this summer.

Yesterday, we went to the Utah Lake Festival. We didn't participate in any of the booths or games or anything because the lines were so incredibly long and we didn't think it was worth it. Instead, we just let Porter play in the lake for a while. We didn't plan on swimming in the lake, so we didn't bring swimming suits. Luckily, I had just bought Porter a life jacket that morning, and we had an extra pair of shorts that we let him just swim in. Porter and I had so much fun playing in the water while Paul took pictures. Porter could have played in the lake all day. He thought it was the funnest thing ever. He definitely takes after his Mom in that respect. I LOVE THE WATER. It was beautiful there and it definitely made me extremely excited for all the swimming we will do this summer!
