We had a wonderful Christmas Eve this year. We spent it at my Mom’s house and it was extra special this year because Erik, Dara and Elsa came all the way up from Minnesota (where Erik is in Law School) to spend it with us. Also, my niece Hannah, and nephews Isaac and Jacob visited from Virginia also. It was so neat having all of my siblings together again for Christmas.
Every year, my Mom does an amazing job at decorating, cooking absolutely amazing food, and making everything so incredibly cozy for Christmas. This year was no exception. Everything was perfect.
Mmmm… Christmas food! I think we all completely stuffed ourselves sick and it was so worth it!! Yummy deliciousness!!
For dessert, we had our traditional Norwegian Ric Krem (Rice Pudding). My Mom dishes out the rice cream with yummy sauce and then hides an almond in one of the bowels. Whoever finds the almond in their bowel wins a prize. Here is my Mom making the Ric Krem.
Mmmm…. I love Ric Krem
and the winner is…..
ISAAC!! YAY ISAAC!!
Then we continued to stuff our faces with all kinds of cookies and yummy Christmas desserts!
The rest of the evening, we watched Christmas movies, played board games and hung out and enjoyed everyone’s company! Love my family so much!!
Thanks so much Mom for such a wonderful Christmas Eve and for everything that you did to make it such a cozy and special evening for everyone.
After arriving home that night, Paul and I quickly put the kids to bed and then started getting Christmas morning ready for our kids. We spent most of the night wrapping presents, and putting toys together..haha. We had a lot of fun and were so excited to see the looks on the kids faces in the morning. Here is our house the Night Before Christmas!!
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!!
