The Great Salt Lake

A couple of weeks ago, my little boys and I decided to take a very impulsive morning trip to play in the Great Salt Lake.  We packed up our water and sand toys and had a great morning.  The weather has been so incredibly hot that we are usually finding some water to play in every day.  The boys had a lot of fun.  Kaden had most fun playing in the sand with his sand toys, and Porter wanted to splash in the water most of the time.  Porter was so cute with his imagination.  He kept seeing ‘sharks’ in the water.  Usually they were rocks, but he would slowly creep over to them until he was sure that they weren’t sharks.  He also played this game where every time a wave would come in, he would jump over it and if he missed, that would mean that he would lose.

Kaden was so cute and content just playing here in the sand.  He was pretty covered in mud when he was done, but he had fun.  P6200137

Even though Porter and Kaden are 3 years apart, they still play together wonderfully.  It is so much fun to see.  They love each other so much and it doesn’t matter that they are so far apart in age.

Porter was dancing around the beach acting funny, and Kaden was just laughing and laughing at him.  It was so cute!!

I remember playing in the Great Salt Lake when I was super young and we have been there tons of times since.  But this time when we pulled up to the Beach we usually play at, the recreation guide told us about this nice secluded beach where we were the only ones playing there.  We loved it and so glad that we know about this part of the beach now.

Look at these adorable little water babies.

We had a wonderful morning playing in the lake.  Hopefully it isn’t too long before we are back.
