Kaden 5 Months

Happy 5 months to our beautiful little sweetheart!! 5 months already..unbelievable.  I can’t even begin to write all of the things that Kaden is learning to do.  He is sitting up very well and is so much more content sitting up where we can see what is going on around him.  He is holding and grabbing his toys very well now.   He loves playing patty cake and just giggles and giggles when you play it with him.  Kaden is so incredibly strong.  He LOVES to hold onto your fingers and walk all around the house.  He could do that all day.  It is amazing how sturdy he already is.He is also very musical and loves it when we sing to him at night.  His whole body just goes still and he just listens to us sing.  He has also started singing with us.  A lot of times when we start singing, he makes these sweet little sounds like he is happy and it is the sweetest thing in the world.  Sometimes when he wakes up..you hear him start ‘singing’ and then before you know it he is back asleep (so he sings himself to sleep).  Such a little sweetheart.  I love to rock my little boy.  It is definitely some of my favorite parts of the day.  It is absolutely amazing the spirit that he has.  He always makes me feel so relaxed, content and at peace.  He is just absolutely perfect. 

Our poor little guy is teething and has been in a lot of pain.  We can see the little bumps of the teeth under his gums and are just waiting and waiting for them to poke through so that Kaden can have some relief.  Kaden is still a wonderful sleeper at night.  He usually goes to sleep around 8.  Then he usually wakes up once during the night to eat and then goes back to sleep until around 8-8:30.  We think that because of his teething, his naps in the day haven’t been so great..usually around 15 minutes each nap..poor little guy.

Kaden is still such a super happy and content baby.  He has such a beautiful smile and smiles and smiles all of the time.  He just radiates happiness and joy.  He loves to be around people and always flashes this sweet little shy smile that just melts your heart.  It is so cute when we leave him in a room playing by himself for a couple of seconds he starts ‘calling’ for us (which is a cute little yelling sound he makes) right when we leave.  As soon as we come back he just starts grinning and grinning.

Kaden LOVES to eat.  He can down a bowl of baby food like nobody’s business.  It is amazing to watch.  He starts going crazy every time he sees his food and complains every time the spoon leaves his mouth and just can’t wait until his next bite.  His favorite foods so far have been carrots, sweet potatoes and apple sauce.  He usually eats a big bowl of rice or oatmeal mixed with fruit in the morning, and then a big bowl of rice or oatmeal mixed with a vegetable in the evenings.  He also still drinks a full bottle every 3-4 hours. 

We are so in love with you Kaden.   Happy 5 months!!!
