Owen is 1 Month

Happy 1 Month to our beautiful little Owen!!  Look how big he has gotten already!! 

This little guy is such a sweetheart.  And it is so much fun that we can already start seeing his personality.  Owen just radiates happiness.  Just being in the same room as him, you can feel such immense joy.  It is incredible. 

We first started noticing little Owen smiles around 3 weeks, but wondering if they were smiles or more gas bubbles..haha.  So his first official smile (that we realized was for sure for sure a smile) was on his 1 month birthday (March 2nd).  We were at my Mom’s house and he was laying on the floor and my Mom was talking to him and he just started smiling and smiling to her.  It was beautiful.  Ever since then, this little guy has not stopped smiling.  He is such a beamer.  Every time he wakes up from a nap and we pick him up he just smiles and smiles.  If we leave the room for a second and come back by him.. he smiles and smiles.  He loves it when his older brothers talk with him.  His whole face just lights up.  He is such a ray of sunshine in our home.  Here are some pictures of his first smiles.  Such a handsome beautiful little boy.  I just love him.

Owen has started cooing and it is the cutest thing in the world.  I wish I knew what he was trying to say.  His face is so expressive and you just know that he is trying to tell you something very important. 

Owen has had a rough time with acid reflux.  He is always squirming uncomfortably, spits up a ton, is super gassy, doesn’t sleep very good, etc.  We finally took him into the doctor and he was diagnosed with Acid Reflux (GERD).  He was put on Zantac and Mylanta and it has seemed to do wonders for our little guy.  The last 2 nights he had 4 hour sleep stretches and has been napping incredibly.  I sure hope that this continues and that our little guy can continue to feel a lot better.  I just have to record that during this appointment which was when he was at about 5 weeks, Owen already weighed 10 1/2 pounds.  Go little Owen!

Owen is such a lucky boy and has the bestest big brothers in the world.  They love him so much.  It is so much fun watching Owen smile and interact with his brothers.  Best of buddies.  These three boys are so lucky to have each other. 

I am so thankful for our little Owen.  I feel so blessed that we have another healthy and happy little guy!  So grateful for the laughter, joy, and sweet spirit that Owen has brought into our home.  We love you so much Owen!
