Nothing like a Mom’s and kids getaway to Vegas!! My friends Stephanie, Camille and I decided that we were so sick of this cold Winter and needed a little getaway where it was warm and we could get a little change of scenery and have some fun. Camille’s daughter Tayla is friends with Porter, and he was so sad when she moved away to California last Summer. We thought that Las Vegas was a good middle place to meet up and spend some time with eachother. 3 moms with 5 kids 3 and under. Here we are all loaded in my van, ready to make the trip to Vegas.
It was a perfect trip down. The kids all did amazing!!!!! We stayed at a resort called The Jockey Club that was located right off the strip. We had an amazing view from our room of the Bellagio Fountains. Fun place and great location. I would definitely stay there again.
When we arrived in Vegas, we all ate dinner and hung out for a while. My boys have a rediculously early bedtime at 6:30 (because they can’t function past then), so I stayed home and put my boys to bed while Steph and Camille and their kids went to see the Bellagio fountains. And then we went goodnight.
I have to mention that when we left Utah, we left in a snowstorm and when we got to Vegas, it was in the 60s. We could wear short sleeved shirts no problem. Beautiful, beatiful weather. It was so refreshing.
The next morning, we headed out to see the Flamingo's outdoor Wildlife Habitat. We saw pink flamingos, exotic ducks, koi fish and so much more. It was pretty fun and the kids loved it. On the way there, we walked through The Bellagio gardens where it seemed like everyone wanted to take a picture of his with all of our kids and strollers. I guess it isn’t everyday that you see Moms with kids in double strollers in Vegas..haha. This one man from Israel asked if his wife could pose with us. It was pretty funny.
And here we are at the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat
Then we went to see the The Fall of Atlantis Show, but it ended up being a little too loud for the kids, so we didn’t watch the show very long. Instead we headed to the salt water aquarium. The kids liked that a lot better.
Afterwards we headed to a cute little hot dog café and got some yummy lunch. We saw these cool weird bicycle riders on the way. I need to get me one of these
We ended our little outing with the kids by stopping at the Bellagio fountains. Kaden was sleeping so he missed them, but Porter loved it.
That night, I put my kids to sleep and then played with Steph’s and Camille’s kids while they went out to see a comedy show. Their kids are so cute and we had a lot of fun hanging out. And that concludes the first day 2 days in Vegas. I will try and blog about the rest of the trip tomorrow.
