A couple of days before Christmas, we packed up our little family, grabbed some cups of Hot Chocolate and drove to Christmas street in Taylorsville to look at some amazing Christmas lights. This is a residential street where neighbors have come together to recreate the famous poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Each house has a billboard out in front of it that tells a different part of The Night Before Christmas story. The houses are elaborately adorned with lights and decorations that are supposed to match the line from the poem. The cool thing is every house on the street has really gotten in on the act. Two houses have lights timed to music and almost all the houses are draped from top to bottom with Christmas lights. Here we are with our yummy hot chocolate ready to take off.
Here is a view of Christmas street.
Most people drive down the street, but Porter wanted to get out so bad. So him and I jumped out and walked the street while Paul and Kaden stayed in the warm car.
This was Porter’s and my favorite house. The pictures don’t give it justice, but it was pretty amazing.
Pretty fun!!!! This definitely helped get us in the Christmas spirit. We will definitely be going every year. If anyone is interested for next year. Here is the address: 5350 South and on the West Side of 3200 West
