Payson Lakes

At the beginning of August, we took a little family camping trip to Payson Lakes.  It was our first time there and it was amazing.  My sister Natasha and her husband Colby and us camped for the night!  The kids had so much fun!  We had a fire and roasted marshmallows and had smores, the kids had fun riding scooters, we went on nature walks, but the funnest thing for them was definitely sleeping in the tent.  They thought that was the most amazing thing ever.  And they all slept wonderfully!!

The next morning the rest of the family joined us for the day.  All of my siblings were able to come except for Erik and his family. They are living in Minnesota right now for Law School and we sure missed them.  We had such a wonderful time playing in the water and it was so much fun being with eachother.   

It was a lot of fun bringing out our raft.  Porter thought it was a blast.  He just wanted to take it out on the lake the whole day!  Kaden wasn’t quite so sure about it.  He liked playing on his when it was on the beach but once we started taking it on the water, he wanted us to row right back to shore..haha. 

Shane and I found this huge log that we thought would make for the perfect little boat..haha.  It was way harder to stay on that thing then it looks.  I scratched my legs up pretty bad falling off of that thing about 100 times..haha.  Shane was better at balancing then I was. 

We had so much fun that these little boys had to take a little nap on the beach..haha!

I think this might become a tradition to come here every Summer.  It was so peaceful and beautiful up there!  Thanks so much family for such a wonderful and much needed little getaway.  Love you all so much!
